Blindsight devices report every detection they make back to the cloud for review by your health and safety team. These reported detections are summarised in the Analytics page of the portal and can be filtered and viewed individually on the Detections page.
When viewing individual detections you can submit a review by using the buttons on the detection card to label the level of risk associated with the event. The options available are:
Safe: The event poses no significant risk
Moderate: The event poses some risk
High: The event poses a high level of risk
AI Error: The event is the result of an AI error and should not have been reported at all
Risk Level
Assessing the level of risk posed by each event must be done in accordance with your organisations guidelines on risk assessment and is highly dependant on context. Reviewing the risk level of detections in this way has several benefits to your organisation:
Drives alignment across your organisation in terms of risk assessment
Provides a breakdown of per event risk level via a summary chart on the Analytics page
Allows filtering detections by risk level to help focus analysis and reporting
AI Errors
Apart from assigning a risk level, detection reviews allow you to report AI Errors. You should report a detection as an AI Error if the event should not have been detected or if the details of the detection (such as object type) are incorrect. When you select AI Error you will be presented with a list of reasons to choose from to help us understand your report. Reporting AI Error has a number of benefits:
Improves the accuracy of reporting by removing erroneous data points from your figures
Drives improvement of our AI model towards eliminating AI Errors in your specific context
Provides you with measure of AI reliability across your organisation
Audit Log
What if you and a colleague both review a detection but disagree on the risk level? The portal will always save the last review made to allow you to revise your risk assessment of an event as your understanding of risk changes. Every review made is logged in the system and visible in the Audit Log on the detection card including:
What label was selected
Who made the review
When the review was made
