Introduction
The Carousel provides administrators with an additional method to make sure the best bottom-up and top-down content is seen by its intended audience by elevating its presence in Feed. When this feature is enabled, you will find any Featured posts created appear at the top of the app and can be cycled through.
If you are looking to get this feature turned on for your Organization, reach out to your Customer Success Manager, or to our Support Team.
As Featuring Posts is only accessible to Team Admins, Content Moderators, and Organization Admins, only they can add Posts to the Featured Post Carousel. |
Choosing your carousel style
Org admins can now choose between two carousel layouts depending on how frequently your organisation features content:
Hero carousel — A large, prominent display. Best for orgs that feature content regularly.
Inline carousel — A more compact display that takes up less Feed space. Best for orgs that feature posts occasionally.
To change the carousel type:
Go to Org Setup → Feed Settings
Under Featured Posts, select either Hero carousel or Inline carousel
Click Save — the change takes effect immediately for all users
Note: Only org admins can change the carousel type. The setting applies across the whole organisation.
Featuring a Feed Post
This feature needs to be enabled first.
Create your post.
Once created, click on the Post Settings gear
Under the Advanced Settings tab, you will find an option to "Feature this post" and turn the toggle on.
Select how long you want to Feature the post - this will decide on how long the Featured post appears on the Carousel.
Click "Feature", and then the back button at the top right.
Your post is now ready to send! Once sent, it will appear along the Carousel at the top of the app.
Content in the Featured carousel
You can feature a livestream post the same way as any other post. Livestreams are not featured automatically, an admin must do this manually.
If featured with autoplay on: the livestream plays live (muted) directly in the carousel while it's live
If featured without autoplay, or once the livestream ends: a preview of the VOD is shown with a play button; clicking it opens the full post
Image fitting
Featured images are automatically fitted to the carousel — they will not stretch or zoom to fill the space.
Background pattern for text-only posts
Featured posts without an image will display a subtle background pattern using the post's category icon, so they don't appear blank in the carousel.
