How do I edit my profile?

Helps users make changes to their existing profile.

Your Blink profile is visible to your colleagues in the Directory and on your posts. You can update it at any time from mobile or desktop.

How do I edit my Blink profile?

On mobile: tap More (bottom right) then Your profile. On desktop: click the gear icon (bottom left) then Edit Profile. Update your details and tap Save. Some fields may be locked by your organization.

• About me and contact details

• Profile picture (shown in the Directory and on your posts)

• Whether your contact details are visible to other users

On mobile

  1. Tap More in the bottom right corner.

  2. Select Your profile.

On desktop

There are two ways to reach your profile on desktop:

  • Click the gear icon in the bottom left corner, then select Edit Profile.

  • Or click Directory in the left sidebar, then click on your name.

📱 How do I edit my profile on mobile?

  1. Tap More in the bottom right corner.

  2. Select Your profile.

  3. Tap Edit Profile.

  4. Update your details - name, job title, department, employee ID, and contact details.

  5. To update your profile picture, tap your current photo and choose or take a new one.

  6. Tap Save in the top right corner to save your changes.

🖥️ How do I edit my profile on desktop?

  1. Click the gear icon in the bottom left corner.

  2. Select Edit Profile.

  3. Update your details - name, job title, department, location, line manager, about me, and contact details.

  4. To update your profile picture, click your current photo, choose or take a new one, move and scale it, then click Done.

  5. Click Save when you are done.

💾 Don't forget to save. Changes are not applied until you click Save.


❓ FAQs

Why are some fields locked and I can't edit them?

Some fields are controlled by your organization and cannot be changed by individual users. This is intentional - those fields are used for identification and reporting. Contact your manager or HR team if the information is incorrect and needs updating.

Can I hide my contact details from other users?

Yes. In your profile, toggle Hide contact details to control whether your phone number and email address are visible to colleagues. Only people you are connected with can see your full profile.

Will my profile picture show in the Directory?

Yes. Your profile picture appears in the Directory, on your Feed posts, and in Chat. If you have not set a profile picture, your initials are shown instead.

Can I change my job title to a new one that is not in the list?

You can select from existing job titles, but only Organization Admins can create new job titles. If the title you need does not exist, ask your Organization Admin to add it.
