Line Item Numbering (LIN) is a classification system for your line items. Each line item gets a fixed number or code to allow for easy comparability and organization.

LIN are assigned to line items inside the Item Catalog in Settings. For more information about LIN, check out our help article here.

Production Ordering is a feature inside BlinkBid that automatically assigns numbers to line items when transferred from the Estimate into Production.

Starting with 1.1, the line items receive a number system in order to provide organization when entering actuals.

If you would like the LIN numbers to appear instead of the Production Ordering numbers, go to Settings < Document Appearance < Line Items and Categories, and under "Show Line Item Number in Job" select "Yes". Then press the blue "Save" button.
