You can add client-facing or private memos to the line items in your Estimate and Invoice. Memos you add in Production when inputting receipts will not appear on the printed document. Memos you add in the Payment Received feature will not appear on the printed document.
For the printable memos, you can choose to include a memo under a specific line item or next to it.
In Settings < Document Appearance < Layout Options < Memo Appearance, you can choose to have your memo either “print below a line item” or “in line,” under the line item. After you choose your preference, remember to click the blue save button at the bottom of the screen to apply the changes.
This feature can be used to further customize your document to make it appear exactly how you want it.
