Secure Your Account with 2FA on Block Genius

Updated over 5 months ago

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Block Genius account. This process requires two forms of identification to access your account:

  1. A password.

  2. A one-time code sent to your authenticator app.

Enabling 2FA significantly enhances security and protects against hacking, phishing, and other online threats.

How to Enable 2FA

  1. Log in to your Block Genius account.

  2. Go to your Settings and select Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  3. Download an authenticator app like Google or Microsoft Authenticator.

  4. Scan the QR code provided by Block Genius.

  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app and click Enable 2FA.

What to Do if You Lose Access to 2FA

If you can’t access your 2FA, contact Block Genius support and provide the following:

  1. A clear photo of yourself holding the ID you verified your account with (KYC) and a piece of paper with the text "Block Genius" and today's date (YYYY/MM/DD).

  2. A photo of your ID.

  3. Details about your account activity, such as transaction history or previous support conversations.
