What is a Canva template?

A Canva template is an editable design that someone else already created. As the user of the template, you can customize it however you like. Even if that means replacing every element in the template OR making no changes at all. Most users will add their branding, property details and maybe also their own creative stamp to the template by changing the colors, fonts, and other elements.

How do I use a Canva template?

All the existing elements in the design can be moved and edited by simply selecting them. That will open a toolbar at the top of your design screen. That toolbar allows additional customizations like, changing color, fonts, adding filters & animations...and some other pretty cool features.

Can I add photos and other design elements to the template?

Yes, plenty of additional elements that are not featured in your template can also be added.

On the left side of your screen is a menu where other new elements can be found: background images, fonts and colors.

Also images like logos and photos can be dragged into the design from your device's file folders.

How do I use final design?

Once you're satisfied with your design you can download it in the preferred format and post it on social media, include it in an email or text campaign OR print it.
