In Transactions, you export your transactions as a CSV file, as a backup, for reconciliation with your exchange or as proof, for example for a proof of source of funds. The export always contains exactly what your current filters show.
How to export your transactions
1️⃣ Open Transactions.
2️⃣ If needed, set filters, for example a tax year or a label. Without filters, you export your entire history.
3️⃣ Click the export and download the CSV file.
💡 Tip: For a complete backup, remove all filters, otherwise the file is missing whatever is currently hidden.
What is included in the file?
✅ All transactions of your filtered list
⛔ Deleted transactions (formerly excluded) are not included
✅ Can be uploaded again: You can upload the exported file directly into your Blockpit account again.
ℹ️ Transfers are exported by Blockpit as two separate transactions, deposit and withdrawal. If you upload the file again, Blockpit connects them anew according to the rules of auto-merging. An exact reconstruction of previously connected transfers is therefore not possible via the export.
ℹ️ Only some of the columns fit directly into the Blockpit Excel template: Date (UTC), Integration Name, Label, Outgoing Asset, Outgoing Amount, Incoming Asset, Incoming Amount, Fee Asset, Fee Amount, Trx. ID and Comments.
The columns at a glance
▸ Date (UTC): timestamp of the transaction in UTC
▸ Integration Name: the name you gave the integration
▸ Label: label or type of the transaction
▸ Outgoing Asset / Outgoing Amount: ticker and amount of the outgoing asset
▸ Incoming Asset / Incoming Amount: ticker and amount of the incoming asset
▸ Fee Asset / Fee Amount: ticker and amount of the Fee
▸ Comments: your transaction note
▸ Trx. ID: blockchain or exchange transaction ID, if available, otherwise your own ID
▸ Source Type: type of integration (API, Chain, CSV, Manual)
▸ Source Name: internal name of the Blockpit integration
What an export looks like (Google Sheets)
Is the export suitable as a proof of source of funds?
As a proof, yes. Banks, exchanges and tax authorities usually accept tax reports, screenshots of your exchange and wallet transactions and, if necessary, a description of your transaction history. The more evidence, the better.
💡 Export the matching transactions, save the file as a PDF and attach it to your proof.
⚠️ Caution: A proof is only as good as your data. It needs a complete history without missing, duplicate or incorrect transactions. A good sign: there are no tips in your list.
Comparing with your exchange or wallet
If your list shows Missing History, the export helps you compare it with the history of your exchange. Filter beforehand by the affected integration and asset, then compare both lists row by row.
