Why is a packet not visible in QC?

This article explains why a file is not loading in QC, but may be visible in the View Shifts page.

If a packet does not load in Visual QC, but does load in the View Shifts page, this indicates an issue with the file itself.  While not a common issue, this does happen from time to time and can appear confusing because of the displayed pdf in View Shifts.

When a packet is uploaded into Blocks, the pdf is displayed in different ways throughout Blocks.

In the Shifts page, you can search for a filename in the search field at the top of the page.

Once the shift populates, click the three dots to the left of the shift and select Edit to go to the Edit Shift page.

On the Edit Shift page, the raw pdf is displayed.

For the QC process, the file is split apart to display individual cards.  If the packet does not load in Visual Qc or Phone Verification, there is an issue with the file that is interfering with the process of splitting the cards apart.

This can result in an error message in the Visual QC step or three black dots that appear to continue to load indefinitely. It can affect an entire packet or just certain scans.

Our recommendation when this occurs is to request that the scan be deleted and then re-scan, redact and re-upload the packet again.
