To create a phone bank, you first need a list of participants for your users to call. To import a list of participants, go to Imports under Organize in the menu.

You can also access this page directly from the phone bank module while creating a new phone bank. Click ‘Import new call list’ in the new phone bank page.

This will open a new tab in your browser with the import people records page.

On this page, you can drag and drop or select a .csv file to import into Blocks.

Once you have attached your file, click ‘Continue’ to prepare your import.

You will see the top values of your spreadsheet. Notice that when importing, Blocks will recognize the first row of your spreadsheet as a field_name value, so it will not create a person record for “First Name Last Name.” To prepare your import, you will need to assign each column in your spreadsheet to a value in Blocks. Here you will also be able to skip any columns that are not relevant to your phone bank.

To do this, click the ‘Assign column’ dropdown and select the appropriate attribute.

Once all of the columns are assigned, check the checkbox next to "Import as phone bank list."

Click Submit to complete your import mapping.

You will see a message that your import is processing, followed by an email that will confirm that your import has completed. At any point, you can close this window.

If you are in the new phone bank page, once you receive that email, refresh the page and you will see your imported list as an option to add to your phone bank.
