The My Items & My Direct Reports Items permission level provides users with a dedicated, restricted view, where they can only see:
• A list of assets assigned to them.
• Their direct reports and all items assigned to those reports.
Users with this permission level have read-only access to the data specified above. They cannot delete, update, or add information, nor can they view any other data or perform other actions within the app.

Configuration
You can find this permission level under Settings -> Custom Permission Levels.
Clicking on Edit Permission Level will take you to the screen below, where you can set a notice label text, as well as select which asset fields you want to display to the user.
Here is the full list of asset fields you can show/hide:
Image
Asset ID
Product
Asset Name
Serial
Warranty
End of Life
Order Number
Purchase Date
Purchase Cost
Category
Manufacturer
Supplier
Depreciation
Notes
The Audits field is always visible and cannot be hidden. For more details, please refer to the Self Audits section later in this article.
If you set a notice label text, it will show on all screens for users on this permission level, like this:
The list of direct reports is based on the Manager field of the employee, meaning that a user who has an employee entry that's listed as manager for other employees will be able to see a list of all those employees in their 'My Direct Reports Items' list and thus all items checked out to them.
As it isn't possible to assign items to Users directly in the app, there needs to be a corresponding employee entry with the same email address of the user in your account under Employees. If that doesn't exist, the user will see this error message when they sign in:
Assigning the permission level
You can assign users this permission level under Settings -> Account Users -> View Account Users.
Click on the Edit button of the user you'd like to change the permission level for, select My Items & My Direct Reports Items from the dropdown, and click on Save.
If SSO is enabled on your account, we recommend setting the Default Permission Level for New Users to this permission level. This can be done under Settings -> Single Sign-On (SSO).
Self Audits
If any self-audits are due for assets assigned to the user, a green button labeled ‘Confirm’ will be displayed. Clicking this button will prompt the following message: ‘By completing this audit, you verify that you are in possession of this item.’ If no self-audits are due, the text ‘No audit due’ will be shown instead.
Please note that the audit must have the self-audit option enabled to appear here. If an audit is not a self-audit, the user will not be able to complete it from this section, and ‘No audit due’ will be displayed instead.
