What are "on-demand services," and why are they not allowed by the Blush License?

Legal terminology about licensing can be difficult to understand -- we know first hand! The "on-demand services" in our license are quite different from what we commonly think when we hear the term, such as video-on-demand or delivery on-demand services.

In essence, the Blush License does not allow people to use illustrations from Blush to replicate a similar or competing service, and "on-demand services" refer only to services specific to the illustrations themselves. This means no one other than the licensee (that's you!) may customize a digital or physical end product made from Blush illustrations, whether for commercial or non-commercial use. This includes, but is not limited to, “print on demand,” “made to order” or “download on-demand” applications. Basically, you may not create a template or other customizable product which end users (your customers, users or clients) customize themselves before ordering/downloading.
