Navigating the Claim Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

Learn how to easily navigate the service request process for your boat repairs, from checking coverage to getting reimbursed

🚤 Seems like something needs a fix? Great thing you got your protection plan! Now it’s time to confirm whether your plan covers the issue you're dealing with. Remember, you might have a few plans from different providers covering complementary things, but here we’re focusing on your current plan.

Step 1: Check Your Coverage

📝 First things first: Check whether your breakage is related to something listed in your Terms and Conditions. Sometimes it can be tricky to understand them completely on the first read, so you might want to check out this article for help. Still not sure? Just leave us a message in our chatbot or send an email. Our customer care team is ready to assist!

Step 2: Open a Claim

📋 Feels like you should be covered? Great! Open your claim and answer all the questions. It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes, but if you have more details, documents, and pictures to attach, that's fantastic! The more information you provide, the faster our team can make a decision.

Step 3: Wait for Authorization

🚫 Important: Do not proceed with repairs before we authorize them, unless it’s an emergency.

Step 4: Provide Repair Shop Info

🔧 Got a repair shop in mind? One of the things we ask for is your boat repair shop’s information. From this point, we’ll work directly with them to handle everything. If you don’t have a repair shop at the moment, no worries—you can send us their info later.

Step 5: Review and Payment

📧 We’ll handle the rest! Once we receive a quote from the repair shop (you should receive it at the same time), we will review it. We’ll let you know what we can cover and what your part will be, making sure you’re ready to pay the deductible.

Step 6: Repairs and Reimbursement

💳 After the work is done, we’ll review the invoice and pay our part after you pay your deductible directly to the boat repair shop. Voila! We’ll reimburse the money to the shop.
