Where a Lesson Report tells you about a single session, a Progress Report gives you the bigger picture — how your Student is developing across a number of Lessons.
How Progress Reports are created
Bobbin generates Progress Reports automatically for your Students:
Recent Progress Reports — created after Lessons, based on your Student's most recent sessions
Weekly Progress Reports — created each week
Monthly Progress Reports — created each month
Your tutoring provider can also create a Custom Progress Report covering any date range — useful at the end of a term, or ahead of an exam. If you'd like one, ask them and they can generate it for you.
Where to find them
Open one of your Student profiles from the Students page and go to their Summary page. All of that Student's Progress Reports are listed there, with the most recent shown first.
Click any report to read it in full.
What a Progress Report contains
A Progress Report pulls together insights from recent Lesson Reports to give a broader view of your Student's development — the strengths that keep coming up and the areas that may need more focus. It's a useful way to see how things are progressing between individual sessions.
A report may also include:
Next steps — what your Student should work on before their next Lessons, drawn together from their recent sessions. Their Tutor also uses these when planning what to cover next.
Notes from your tutoring provider — your Student's Tutor or an Administrator can add their own written notes to a report. These are shown alongside it, and are a good place for context that the Lessons alone wouldn't show. You'll see the notes themselves, though not which member of staff wrote them.
Attendance is taken into account, so if your Student was marked absent for a Lesson, the report won't describe them as having taken part in it.
Saving a report as a PDF
You can download any Progress Report you can see as a PDF. You can also choose to include your Student's individual Lesson Reports for the same period in the same file, so the overview and the session-by-session detail sit together in one document.
Only the Lesson Reports you already have access to are included. If your Student has had a lot of Lessons in the period, the most recent ones are bundled.
Getting a report by email
Your tutoring provider can also email you a Progress Report as a PDF, sometimes with your Student's individual Lesson Reports for the same period included in the same file. If you'd like reports sent to you this way, just ask them.
Note: Progress Reports are generated from your Student's completed Lessons, so the more Lessons your Student has, the fuller the picture becomes.
Not seeing a recent report? Some tutoring providers have an Administrator check Progress Reports before they're shared. If that's how yours works, a new report appears once it has been approved.
