At Boddle Learning, we believe every child deserves a joyful, engaging, and effective learning experience. We're working to make our platform as accessible as possible through thoughtful design, flexible features, and alignment with trusted accessibility standards.
We’re actively working toward full conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard most commonly required by K–12 schools.
Accessibility Features
Text-to-Speech Read-Aloud: All questions, instructions, and feedback in the student game can be read aloud in both English and Spanish. This supports students with dyslexia, low vision, emerging readers, and English learners.
Flexible Assignment Scheduling: Teachers can adjust start and due times, pause or reopen assignments, and accommodate make-up work or extended time without resetting student progress.
Adaptive Learning Paths: Boddle automatically adjusts difficulty based on real-time performance. Teachers can also assign out-of-grade content to meet individual learning needs without drawing attention to skill gaps.
Spanish-Language Support: All core math content is fully available in Spanish, including instructions, questions, feedback, and audio read-alouds.
Game Accessibility Features
Boddle supports a wide range of devices and input methods through our alignment with the Accessible Games Initiative:
Input: Playable using mouse, touch, or keyboard. No rapid tapping or motion controls are required.
Visual: Videos and character dialogue include large, clear subtitles. Important game content is always paired with icons, patterns, or sound in addition to color.
Audio: Sound is mixed in mono for equal delivery to both ears. Separate controls let users adjust music and sound effects independently.
We’re continuing to evaluate additional accessibility features as part of our 2025–2026 roadmap.
Accessibility Evaluation (VPAT)
We’ve completed an internal review using the VPAT 2.5 framework, which outlines how Boddle aligns with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508. A public copy is available upon request.
