Adding Students to your Boddle Class

Learn how to create new accounts or link existing accounts to your Boddle classroom.

There are a few different ways to create student accounts and/or add students to your classroom.

Create New Accounts

If your students have never used Boddle before, you'll want to create new accounts for them.

To create new student accounts and add these students to your classroom using the manual entry method, go to the Teacher Home Page. Next, click on the class that you would like to add students to.

Click on the "Add Students" button at the top of the classroom page. You can also locate this button by clicking on the "Students" tab on the left side of the page.

In the popup, click "Add New Students."

You can either manually enter the students’ names, or copy and paste them from a spreadsheet.

Once you've entered all of your students, press the blue “Continue” button at the bottom of the pop-up. From here, you can edit the students' names and initials. Click the "Continue" button to move on to the next step.

The program will auto-generate a username and password for each student. These can be edited by clicking on the box containing the username or password. When you're happy with the students' login information, press the blue "Continue" button.

Downloading Student Log-in Cards

After your students are added, you'll be able to download and print cards with their log-in information. These can be shared with students and parents for a smooth sign-in process!

Link Existing Accounts

If your students already have Boddle student accounts, you do not need to create new accounts for them using the method described above. Instead, you can add them to your classroom using a Class Code or an Invite Link.

Inviting Students with a Link

To locate the invite link, click on the "Add Students" button at the top of the Classroom page or the Students page. From here, select the “Link Existing Accounts” option, and the link will be available for you to copy and share.

Once the link is copied, you can share it with your students so they can create their own accounts and join your classroom.

Joining a Classroom with an Invite Link

When students click on an invite link, they'll be taken to a page to sign into their account. From here, they can choose to log in with an existing account or create a new account.

No matter which option a student chooses, they'll be automatically enrolled in your class once they sign in.

Adding Students with a Class Code

After logging in to your Teacher Home Page, click into the classroom for which you’d like to add students. You’ll find the Class Code near the top of the screen. Once your students enter the code, they’ll be automatically enrolled in your classroom.

You can also locate the Class Code by clicking on the "Add Students" button on the classroom page or the Students page. From here, choose the "Link Existing Accounts" option to copy and share your class code with your students.

Entering the Class Code

When students log in for the first time, they'll be prompted to enter a class code.

If a student is logging into an existing account, they can enter the class code by clicking the "MATH" button on the top left corner of the home screen. Next, they'll click "Add Course" and enter the class code.
