Renewing a scholarship gives you full control: keep everything exactly the same, or update your award amounts, number of recipients, or winner timeline. Once your renewal is funded, your scholarship reopens for new applicants.
Step 1 — Log In & Select Renew
Log in to your Bold.org Donor Dashboard
Click Renew on the scholarship you’d like to relaunch
Step 2 — Set Awards Details
You can keep your original structure or make changes to reflect your new goals.
Choose:
Number of winners
Ranked winner structure (optional)
Award amount per student
Winner announcement date
The earliest available award date is 4 months from today
We recommend 6–12 months of open application time to maximize strong applicant
Click Continue to move forward.
Step 3 — Support the Bold Foundation (Optional)
You’ll have the opportunity to add an optional, tax-deductible contribution to the Bold Foundation to help power the operations behind your scholarship.

The Bold Foundation donation is an optional, tax-deductible gift that supports the operations behind your scholarship — things like application review tools, compliance, secure disbursement, fraud prevention, and student support.
Here’s what others choose to give:
Most donors add an optional contribution of 10–20%
Over 70% of donors include a Bold Foundation donation when creating or renewing a scholarship

Choose one of three flexible options:
Option A — Credit/Debit Card, ACH or DAFpay
Enter your payment information
Complete checkout to publish
Processing time:
Credit/debit card: usually instant
ACH: 3–5 business days
DAFpay (donor-advised fund): 5-12 business days
Option B — Fundraiser Credits
If you’ve raised funds through a Bold.org fundraiser:
Enter the amount of fundraiser credit you’d like applied
If it covers the full scholarship amount, select Publish Scholarship Now
No checkout required if fully covered!
Option C — Combination of Fundraiser Credits + Donation
Perfect if your fundraiser covers part — but not all — of the award
Apply fundraiser credit amount
Pay remaining balance via ACH, credit/debit card or Donor-Advised Fund
Complete checkout & publish
