After BonData completes its setup process, you will gain access to a detailed virtual map that provides insights into your systems and their connections. This will be available on the side menu under Data > Bonds
Key Features of the Virtual Map
Virtual Map Overview:
Once the system has finished building, a map of all your systems and their connections will be generated.
The map includes connections that may not be physically linked, offering a holistic view of your data ecosystem.
AI-Driven Connections:
Banana’s AI identifies connections between systems by analyzing the metadata and hashed data across the systems.
The AI reveals connections you were previously unaware of, enhancing data observability and connection opportunities.
Probability of Connections:
In the map, you can toggle “Show Suggestions” option, or go straight to the Suggested Bonds menu. This is where you can see the Bonds suggested by BonData, for connections between your systems that didn’t exist before, based on how your data and metadata match across systems.
Each Bond Suggestion is assigned a probability score, reflecting BonData’s confidence in its accuracy, and indicating potential mismatches in the data that you may want to address for data quality.
These scores help you evaluate the connections:
Confirm Connections: Approve connections that align with your data knowledge.
Reject Connections: Delete connections that do not match your expectations.
For easy navigation in the Bonds page, you can use the search and filter on the left hand side of the screen and select the relevant system/s that interest you most.
When selecting the relevant entity in the map, a drawer will open on the screen, showing you the Active Bonds and Suggested Bonds related to this entity.
Virtual Supersystem:
Banana creates a virtual system on top of your connected data:
Data Security: Your data is not stored in BonData and it's being assessed as hashed, ensuring privacy and security.
Metadata Storage Only: BonData stores only metadata, including connections, IDs, and select field values. Only the data that is needed to perform a certain Playbook is stored for this purpose only.
