Settings: Creating Custom Merge Tags

Merge tags allow you to pull data from different places within Bonzo with a simple tag. In this Custom merge tag tab, you can make your own!

Adding a Custom Merge Tag

  1. Navigate to the settings at the top left

  2. Click into the "Merge Tag" section of settings

  3. Click on "Add Merge Tag"

  4. Type in the name slot the proper name that you wish to associate with this custom merge tag

  5. Type in the value that you wish to have utilized for this merge tag.

  6. Click Save

How to use my Custom Merge Tags

  1. Navigate to the message that you wish to send and use the merge tag. These tags can be used in any of our messaging on Bonzo (Campaigns, Pipelines, broadcasts, etc.)

  2. Type your message

  3. Click on "Show More" to see the merge tag list (You might need to scroll down to see your custom tags)

  4. Click on the tag that you wish to use

  5. Close out of the merge tag box

  6. Send your message 🙌
