IVR allows you to set up a phone menu in Bonzo, route calls to team members, campaigns, pipeline stages, and/or assign to team members.

Important Notes:

  • If you want to use a current Bonzo number as an IVR phone menu number instead, we can transfer it to IVR for you! You would need to choose a new Bonzo number if you decided to do this. However, we wouldn't recommend transferring a Bonzo number that has already been used to communicate with leads.

  • The phone number for the IVR/phone menu is not an actual phone line. Leads and/or prospects that call this number will not hear a ring. It will automatically take the call to the phone menu for specific routing.

  • In order to set this up in your account, you will need to purchase the IVR Phone Menu from the Add On's page within your account. Only Team Leads will be able to purchase this.

  • IVR Phone menu can only assign up to 10 total options.

HOW TO SET UP IVR IN BONZO:

  1. Go to Settings --> Phone Menu --> and Select a Bonzo phone number for your IVR.

  2. Search for a number to claim using an area code, postal code, or city. We suggest filling out one option for your search. Press "claim" when you find a number you want for IVR.

  3. Set up a "Greeting Message" first. This will be a voice recording with an introduction and will let the caller know which number to select for the routing they choose.

  4. Once you have set up your "Greeting Message", you will be able to set up the menu options.

    • First, you'll select what key (numbers 0-9) the caller will select in order to reach a certain destination.

    • Second, you'll determine the destination (will the call be assigned to a user, routed to a campaign or pipeline stage, or forwarded to another number)

    • Third, you have the option to set up a farewell message
