Learn how to use action events to assign campaigns to specific pipeline stages

Updated over a week ago

The ability to assign campaigns to pipeline stages in Bonzo has been updated to include the creation of "Action" events. This enhancement enables you and your team members to assign campaigns to specific stages and parties involved, while also setting conditions around campaign assignments. This offers greater flexibility and customization in managing pipeline workflows.

It's important to note that your current pipelines will still function as intended and no additional edits are required at this time.

Previously, assigning campaigns was a fixed setting within each pipeline stage, which lacked flexibility, especially for shared LOS pipelines (i.e. Arive & Encompass). Teams faced challenges when trying to edit campaigns tied to stages.

Now, assigning a campaign can be an event triggered by specific conditions, similar to sending an email or message.

Action events allow teams to customize campaign assignments to the Primary, Coborrower, Buyer Agent, and Listing Agent, providing more targeted and effective communication strategies tailored to each participant's role in the process.

  1. To utilize Action events, from your dashboard, navigate to "Pipelines." You can create a new pipeline from or edit an existing pipeline.

  2. Once you have selected an option, click on any stage, select the 3 vertical lines or breadcrumbs, and click on "Edit."

  3. This will flip the pipeline from a horizontal view to a vertical view and allow you to edit a specific stage. From here, click on the specific stage you would like to edit and then on the "+" symbol next to "Events" to add an event.

  4. From here you have the ability to add an Action event to this stage. The new Action event appears just like a SMS or Email event but is much more customizable.

Event Name: give the action event a name. This is useful for organizational purposes, especially on shared pipelines.

Type: choose the type of action event: either a campaign (continuous automated outreach) or pipeline stage (one-off messaging and movement in your sales funnel). Once the type is selected, the dropdown box below will allow you to select the specific campaign or pipeline stage.

It's important to note, if "Pipeline stage" is selected in an action event, when prospects receive this action event, they will immediately be moved to the selected pipeline stage. For example, you might have a number of one-off messages sent to prospects in your "New Lead" stage, once they receive those messages you can have Bonzo automatically move them to another Pipeline stage like a short or longterm "Nurture Purchase."

Delay: if you have multiple events scheduled, you choose to delay this action.

  5. By clicking on the different tabs above "Event name," you can customize the type of action for each party, selecting unique campaigns for Coborrowers, Buyer Agents, and Listing Agents.

  6. Finally, you can set up custom routing conditions for this pipeline stage by clicking on the "Add conditions" tab next to "Toggle notes."

For instance, if you want to establish routing conditions for this action event, you can click the "Add conditions" button and then the "+Add group" button to create a new routing group.

Some examples of routing conditions include:

    • Routing based on "Loan type." If "Loan type" is "equal to" "purchase" they are routed to "Nurture purchase." If "Loan type" is equal to "refinance" they are routed to "Nurture refinance."

    • Routing based on team member assignment. If "Assignee's" in the New Lead stage is "equal to" a specific team member (team member name), they are routed to a specific pipeline stage or campaign.

    • Routing based on last response. If "Last response" is "Empty" (meaning they did not respond), they can be routed to a specific pipeline stage or campaign.

These are just a few simple examples, but essentially routing conditions can be established based on the various data points in Bonzo. Simply click on the pencil icon next a new routing group to edit the group and select conditions from a drop down.

By converting campaign assignments into events, Bonzo empowers teams to manage their pipeline stages more effectively, ensuring that the right campaigns are triggered at the right time for the right prospects. This structured approach enhances workflow management, making it easier for teams to stay organized.

Remember, your current pipelines will still function as intended and no additional edits are required at this time.
