When you finish a project on Book An Artist, marking the job as “Complete” is an essential final step. It not only wraps up the job on the platform but also triggers the remaining payment process and gives you a chance to upload before and after images to show off your work.
This simple guide will walk you through the full process and explain what happens behind the scenes once a project is marked complete.
Step-by-Step: How to Mark the Job as Complete & Upload Before/After Images
Log in to your Artist Panel or Mobile App
Navigate to ‘Orders & Enquiries’
Open the conversation for the project you've completed
Click the ‘Complete’ button
A confirmation pop-up will appear → Click ‘Yes’
A new form titled ‘Mark Project as Complete’ will appear. Fill in:
Upload Before and After Images:
Once all details and images are added, click ‘Mark as Complete’ or ‘Submit’
A confirmation screen will appear → Click ‘Done’
🎉 Your project is now officially marked complete and moves into the final payment stage.
What Happens After Marking the Job “Complete”?
✅ If the Client Hasn’t Paid Yet:
An invoice is automatically sent to them
They have 7 days to complete the payment
You’ll receive a notification once payment is made
Payment is processed within 3–5 business days
After processing, funds are transferred to your account within 24–48 business hours
✅ If the Client Already Paid in Advance:
The payment still follows the same timeline
The system only starts processing your payment once the job is marked as complete
Marking the job as complete notifies the accounts team to release the funds
