At Book An Artist, we want to make sure all artists and clients feel safe, respected, and protected while using our platform. To do that, we have certain rules that everyone needs to follow. When someone breaks these rules, we call it a Breach of Policy.
What is a Breach of Policy?
A Breach of Policy happens when an artist or client does something that goes against the platform’s terms and conditions. This includes things like:
Asking for or accepting payments outside the platform
Trying to contact or work with clients directly without going through Book An Artist
Sharing personal information like your phone number, email address, or Instagram handle with the intention of making a deal outside the platform
Sharing your personal bank account or payment details
These actions are not allowed because they create risks for both artists and clients. They can also lead to unfair behavior or scams, which we work hard to prevent.
What Happens When a Breach is Found?
If we notice that any of these actions have happened, a Breach of Policy flag will be added to the specific inquiry or order where the issue took place. Here’s what that means:
You’ll see a red flag icon next to the order or inquiry.
This lets you know there’s a problem that needs attention.
If you hover over or click on the flag, a message will pop up.
This message will explain exactly why the flag was added
You’ll also see a "Contact Support" button in the message.
This is your way to reach out to our team if you have any questions, want to explain the situation, or think the flag was added by mistake.
Will This Affect My Account?
Yes, it might. When a Breach of Policy flag is added, your account may stop receiving new leads or client inquiries temporarily. This pause will stay in place until the issue is reviewed and resolved by our team.
What Should I Do If I’m Flagged?
Don’t worry! Here’s what you can do:
Click on the flag and use the “Contact Support” button in the pop-up to tell us your side of the story.
Or, you can email us directly at contact@bookanartist.com.au and explain the situation.
Our team will review everything and get back to you as soon as possible. If the issue is resolved, the flag can be removed and your account will go back to normal.
