Client - How to make a payment?

The easiest and most secure way to make a payment to an artist.

The payment can be made from either a quote or invoice. Here are multiple ways in which the payment can be done:

  1. Once an artist sends you an invoice you can see the payment details on the right side of the order conversations. By clicking on the 'Pay ' buttons, the payment can be made.

  2. Or click on the view offer and then click on the "Click Here to pay" button.

  3. Or you can download the quote or invoice from the conversation or from the right side of the order conversation as highlighted below and then after clicking on the "Click Here to pay" button.

The invoice will be broken up into sections - usually two - the first being the deposit and the second to be paid once the project is complete. Larger projects are sometimes broken up into three or more sections.

How to make a payment?

  1. Click the 'Pay Now' button.

  2. Book An Artist will redirect you to our secure payment method, Stripe.

  3. Using either a credit/debit card, bank transfer, or your PayPal account you are able to make payments.

Note: A 2% transaction fee is applied to all card payments and 3% for the Singapore card payments.

4. The artist will be notified of your payment. Payments can take 3-5 business days to be processed.

What is hold/release payment?

Customers are able to make payments using Book An Artist Pay, our new payment system that runs through Stripe. Customers can put payments on hold and release these payments once jobs are complete.

1. While processing the payment, you will get an option to Hold/Release payment.

2. During the payment process when selecting ‘Hold Payment’, your payment will be on hold with Book An Artist Escrow.

3. Artists are able to request to release of their payment if it is on hold. Customers can release the payment when both the artist and the customer are happy.

4. Select the Release Payment button from the right-hand side of their conversation with the artist.

5. During the payment process when selecting ‘Release Payment’, your payment will be released to the artist account within 2-5 business days.
