Introduction:

To maintain a clean inbox and protect against malicious messages, Gmail offers various spam-fighting methods. If you're not receiving emails from us, check your spam folder for those messages and mark them as "not spam" if found there. To ensure important 'Book An Artist' email notifications reach your inbox, add the following email addresses to your Gmail contacts and create a filter rule to act as your email whitelist: (contact@bookanartist.co, notification@bookanartistmail.co).

Adding an email address to your Gmail whitelist or safe sender list:

To prevent important emails from going to the spam folder, add (contact@bookanartist.co, and notification@bookanartistmail.co) to your Google Contacts or create a filter rule. If a desired email is already in your spam folder, you can train the Gmail spam filter not to send such messages to spam.

Adding a Gmail Contact:

By adding (contact@bookanartist.co, notification@bookanartistmail.co) to your contacts, Google recognizes that you want to receive emails from these senders. While it doesn't guarantee messages won't be sent to spam, it increases the likelihood of receiving them in your inbox. For a more reliable method, follow the instructions below for creating a filter.

On a computer (website):

1. Go to contacts.google.com

2. Select Create contact at the top left corner

3. Enter the contact's information, including (contact@bookanartist.co, notification@bookanartistmail.co)

4. Click Save in the bottom right corner

On an Android smartphone/tablet (mobile app):

1. Open the Contacts app

2. Tap Add at the bottom right

3. Enter the contact's name and email address

4. Save the contact to the correct account where you want to receive the whitelisted emails

5. Tap Save when done

Create a filter rule to keep desired emails out of spam:

Gmail's filters allow you to manage your email effectively, including preventing specific email addresses from going to the spam folder. To create a filter:

1. Open the Gmail website on your computer

2. In the search box at the top, select the Down arrow

4. Click Create filter at the bottom of the search window

5. Select "Never Send it to Spam"

6. Click Create filter

Mark an email as Not Spam:

If a desired email lands in the spam folder, you can move it to your inbox and signal to Gmail that you want similar emails there in the future. This method doesn't guarantee all future messages from that sender won't go to spam, but it helps train Gmail.

1. Open the Gmail website on your computer

2. On the left, select Spam (If you don't see Spam, select More, then find Spam)

3. Open the desired email message

4. Click Not spam at the top of the page to move the message to your inbox
