📌 Method: FinesMonthlyRevenue

This article explains how we calculate the monthly revenue from fines.

How is fine revenue calculated?

Find all issued fines within the selected period

  • We retrieve all fines that have been charged between the specified dates.

Filter by segment

  • Fines can be grouped by gender or age to analyze trends.

Sum fine amounts per month

  • We calculate the total revenue from fines during the period.

Visualize data

  • Data is displayed as an area chart showing fine revenue over time.

Example Calculation

We calculate the fine revenue for January and February.

Month

Number of Issued Fines

Average Fine

Total Revenue

January

50

250 kr.

12,500 kr.

February

60

275 kr.

16,500 kr.

Calculate total revenue for February:

60×275=16,500 kr.60 \times 275 = 16,500 \text{ kr.}60×275=16,500 kr.

Calculate the average fine per month:

12,500+16,5002=14,500 kr.\frac{12,500 + 16,500}{2} = 14,500 \text{ kr.}212,500+16,500=14,500 kr.

Why is this important?

Fine revenue can be used to understand:

✔ How many members violate the rules
✔ How effective the fine policy is
✔ How fines contribute to overall revenue

💡 Result: A graph showing how fine revenue develops over time.
