📌 Method: FinesMonthlyRevenue

This article explains how we calculate monthly revenue from fines.

How is fine turnover calculated?

  1. Find all fines issued in the selected period

    • We retrieve all penalties that have been collected between the specified dates.

  2. Filter by segment

    • Fines can be grouped by gender or age to analyze trends.

  3. Total fine amount per month

    • We calculate the total revenue from fines during the period.

  4. Visualize data

    • Data is displayed as a range chart showing the fine revenue over time.

Example calculation

We calculate the fine turnover for January and February.

Month

Number of fines issued

Average fine

Total Revenue

January

50

250 kr.

12.500 kr.

February

60

275 kr.

16.500 kr.

  1. Calculate total revenue for February:

    60×275=16.500 kr.60 \times 275 = 16.500 \text{ kr.}60×275=16,500 kr.

  2. Average fine per month:

    12.500+16.5002=14.500 kr.\frac{12.500 + 16.500}{2} = 14.500 \text{ kr.}212,500+16,500=14,500 kr.
