To ensure that emails sent from your Bookinglayer account are received by your customers and don't end up in their spam box, there are a couple of settings that need to be added to your DNS records.

We are using Mandrill, a professional third party mail provider to send emails. We do this to optimise delivery and prevent getting blacklisted as spam. Mandrill requires that we verify all sending domains so you will need to add some records to your DNS and make sure you have a record setup for DMARC.

ADD RECORDS TO YOUR DNS SETTINGS:

Please login to the admin panel of your domain name and navigate to the section to manage the DNS. Then follow these instructions.

Where you see YOURDOMAIN.com below, replace it with your actual domain.

**Some domain hosting platforms may already add your domain automatically to the record's name, in which case this step is unnecessary and you should just register the record's name without the domain.

1 - First DKIM record:

Create a CNAME record with the name mte1._domainkey.yourdomain.com and with the value dkim1.mandrillapp.com

2 - Second DKIM record:

Create another CNAME record with the name mte2._domainkey.yourdomain.com and the value dkim2.mandrillapp.com

2 - DMARC record:

Create and save a TXT record in your DNS with a name of _dmarc.yourdomain.com and a value of:

v=DMARC1; p=none

3 - Verification record:

Last, one additional TXT record needs to be created in your DNS. The value for this record (that points to your root domain, so leave empty or use @) can be found in your Backoffice under General Settings > Emails.

*If you are asked to enter a key, just leave it empty or use @.

Important notice for Cloudflare customers
If you are using Cloudflare to manage your DNS, make sure that all records you add for Bookinglayer are set to DNS-Only (Proxy off), otherwise your charges won't have any effect.
