How to add a deposit on the invoice using the mobile app

Learn how to request a deposit from your customer by adding it to your invoice using the Bookipi mobile app. Set your deposit amount and due date in just a few simple steps.

Create a new invoice or open an existing invoice where you want to request a deposit.

Scroll down to the Payment section to access the available payment settings.

Tap 'Request a deposit' to enable the deposit option for your invoice.

Select 'Percentage' to request a portion of the total invoice amount, or 'Fixed amount' to request a specific amount.

Enter the desired percentage or fixed amount in the field provided.

Choose a Due date to let your customer know when the deposit payment is expected.

Tap 'Save' to confirm and save your deposit settings.

Tap 'Save' at the bottom of the screen to save your invoice with the updated deposit details.

Send the invoice to your customer so they can review the details and pay the requested deposit.

A: Requesting a deposit helps you collect an upfront payment before starting work or delivering a service.

A: Yes. The deposit amount and due date will appear on the invoice. For card payments, only the deposit amount will be displayed at checkout before the due date. If the deposit is overdue, the full amount will be displayed at checkout.

A: Yes. Open the invoice and tap 'Request a deposit' to access the deposit settings. Clear the amount or percentage field, then tap 'Save' to update your deposit settings. Finally, tap 'Save' at the bottom of the screen to save your invoice changes.
