How to edit your Bookipi AI Receptionist
If you need to update your AI receptionist and improve the accuracy of its responses, simply follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click ‘Receptionist’
Click ‘Receptionist’ from the left panel of your dashboard.
Step 2: Edit Your AI Receptionist
Click ‘Edit’ on the far-right side of your AI Receptionist’s name.
Step 3: Update Your Receptionist Details
Select the section you want to edit.
Alternatively, you can click ‘Edit with AI’ in the receptionist editor to chat with the AI and get help updating your receptionist’s information.
Persona
In the Persona section, you can personalize your receptionist by assigning a name and choosing your preferred voice and tone.
Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next section.
Knowledge
In the Knowledge section, you can update the information your receptionist uses to provide accurate responses during customer calls.
You can also click ‘Add’ in the Knowledge Setup area above the tabs to provide a website link or upload documents, allowing the AI to automatically populate your receptionist’s knowledge base.
The ‘Information’ tab includes your business name, description, industry, and business hours.
The ‘FAQ’ tab lets you add frequently asked questions to help your receptionist provide more accurate answers.
The ‘Conversation’ tab allows you to customize callback names, greetings, and fallback responses for questions your receptionist cannot answer.
Click ‘Next’ to continue.
Actions
In the Actions section, you can configure how your receptionist handles calls.
The ‘General’ tab allows you to enable scheduling, which automatically adds appointments to your Bookipi Scheduler.
The ‘Data Collection’ tab lets you define the information you want to collect from customers during calls.
Step 4: Save and Test
Click ‘Save and test’ to test your receptionist.
Then, click ‘Call’ to begin a test conversation with your AI Receptionist.
To make additional changes, use the back arrow in the upper-left corner to return to the editing page and update your information.
Step 5: Publish Your Receptionist
When you are ready, click ‘Publish’ in the top-right corner of the page to launch your AI receptionist.

Q: How can I start fresh with my AI Receptionist?
A: While there's no delete option, you can unpublish your AI Receptionist, update the information, and then publish it again with the new details.
Q: How do I test if my edits are working correctly?
A: From the editing page, head to the Test section and click ‘Call’ to start a simulated conversation with your AI Receptionist and see how your updates are working. Once you're satisfied with the results, click ‘Publish’ to apply the changes.
Q: Can I make changes to my AI receptionist without unpublishing it?
A: Yes, just make sure to click 'Publish' to apply and launch any changes you've made.
Q: Why does the AI Receptionist give different answers to the same question?
