How to edit your Bookipi AI Receptionist
If you need to update your AI receptionist and improve the accuracy of its responses, simply follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click ‘Receptionist’.
Click on ‘Receptionist’ on the left panel of your dashboard.
Step 2: Click ‘Edit’.
Click the ‘Edit’ button located at the top right of the page.
Step 3: Update your receptionist persona.
On the Persona page, you can update your receptionist’s name and choose your preferred voice.
Step 4: Click ‘Next’.
Click ‘Next’ in the upper right corner to proceed to the next section.
If you have moved to the next page and want to return to your AI receptionist's Persona page to make updates, click the back arrow in the upper-left corner.
Step 5: Edit your AI Receptionist’s knowledge base.
Update the relevant details in each tab. You can edit your company’s basic details in the ‘Information’ tab.
To add or edit your company’s frequently asked questions, go to the ‘FAQ’ tab.
To manage your FAQs, select ‘Edit’ to make changes, click ‘+ Add FAQ’ to create a new entry, or use the trash icon to remove one.
Edit your receptionist’s greetings and fallback response in the ‘Greetings’ tab.
Step 6: Click ‘Next’.
Click ‘Next’ in the upper right corner to proceed with testing your AI Receptionist.
Step 7: Test your receptionist.
Test your receptionist by clicking ‘Call’ to start a conversation.
To make further adjustments, use the back arrow in the upper-left corner to return to the editing page and update your information as needed.
If you do not wish to publish yet, simply click the ‘X’ button on the upper right corner, and select ‘Continue’ to save your changes as draft.
Step 8: Click ‘Publish’.
When you're ready, click ‘Publish’ in the top right of the page to launch your AI receptionist.
Step 9: Confirm to publish.
Select ‘Publish’ to confirm and go live with your updated AI receptionist.

Q: How can I start fresh with my AI Receptionist?
A: While there's no delete option, you can unpublish your AI Receptionist, update the information, and then publish it again with the new details.
Q: How do I test if my edits are working correctly?
A: From the editing page, head to the Test section and click ‘Call’ to start a simulated conversation with your AI Receptionist and see how your updates are working. Once you're satisfied with the results, click ‘Publish’ to apply the changes.
Q: Why does the AI Receptionist give different answers to the same question?
