Understanding Bookipi's Free Invoice Plan
Bookipi offers a free plan that allows users to create and send up to three invoices per month. However, free invoice credits are managed on a rolling 30-day cycle, which means the reset for each invoice is based on its original creation date and not tied to the beginning of a calendar month.
How the Rolling 30-Day System Works
Reset Based on Creation Date: When an invoice is created, its free credit resets 30 days after it was created. For example, if you create an invoice on April 1, the free slot for that invoice will reset on May 1, allowing you to create a new invoice.
Asynchronous Resets: Each free invoice credit resets on its own 30-day cycle. If you create invoices on different dates within a month, each will renew at different times based on their individual creation dates.
This rolling reset mechanism ensures that your three free invoice allowances do not renew simultaneously at the start of a new month, but instead follow their own timeline dictated by when each was created.
Why You Are Prompted to Upgrade
You may see prompts to upgrade your plan in the following scenarios:
Maxing Out Free Invoices: If all three free invoice credits are still active within their 30-day period and you attempt to create another invoice, you will be prompted to upgrade your plan.
Delayed Reset of Free Slots: If you created three invoices on different dates, each credit renews individually after 30 days. If none of your current credits have reset yet, you must wait for the reset to occur before creating another invoice to avoid upgrading.
Example Scenarios
If you create two free invoices on June 30 and one on July 19, the free slots for those invoices will reset on July 30 and August 18, respectively. If you attempt to create a new invoice on August 1, but none of the free slots have renewed yet, you will need to either upgrade or wait until a reset occurs.
