How to edit an invoice on the Web App
Learn how to edit an invoice in Bookipi Invoice Web v2 with our simple steps.
Step 1: Click ‘Invoice’.
Select 'Invoice' from the left-hand menu or directly from the dashboard.
Step 2: Create or select an invoice.
Click '+Create' in the top right corner of your screen to start creating and invoice.
Alternatively, select an existing invoice that you want to edit.
Step 3: Edit the invoice.
If the invoice is still in Draft status, you can make the necessary edits directly.
Otherwise, click 'Edit' at the top of the invoice, then make the necessary changes.
Step 4: Click ‘Update’.
After editing your invoice, click 'Update' to save the changes.
Step 5: Click ‘Send’.
Click ‘Send’ to submit the updated invoice to your customer.
Once an invoice is fully or partially paid, certain fields can no longer be edited, including customer details, invoice number, issue date, and recurring options.

Q: Is there a way to track invoice changes?
A: The system updates the invoice to the latest version, but previous edits are not typically shown as a change history.
Q: What invoice fields can I edit?
A: You can typically edit most invoice details, including line items, amounts, due date, and notes. However, availability may depend on the invoice status.
Q: Can I edit an invoice that has already been paid?
A: You can still view the invoice, but editing is limited once it has been fully or partially paid. Some fields will be locked for record accuracy.
Q: Will my customer be notified when I update an invoice?
A: No. If you update a sent invoice, you will need to resend it for your customer to receive the revised version. If you don’t resend it, they won’t be notified.
