How to add an item on the Mobile App

Learn how to add items to invoices on the Bookipi Invoice mobile app with 5 simple steps below.

Step 1: Select 'More'.

Tap 'More' located at the bottom-right corner of the screen to view additional options.

Step 2: Choose 'Items'.

Tap 'Items', which you’ll find at the top of the screen just below your account email.

Step 3: Tap the '+' button.

To add a new item, tap the ‘+’ (Plus) button.

Step 4: Enter the item details.

Enter the item details such as name, price, and any other relevant information.

Step 5: Tap the checkmark to save.

Once done, tap 'Save' at the bottom of the screen to store the item in your list.


Common FAQs about how to add an item on the Mobile App

Q: Can I save items for future use?

A: Yes. When you add a new item, it’s saved to your item list. You can quickly reuse it in future invoices without re-entering the details.

Q: Is it possible to import items from another software or platform?

A: No, the app currently doesn’t support importing item lists from other platforms or software. All items need to be added manually within the app.

Q: Can I add taxes or discounts to individual items?

A: Yes. You can apply taxes or discounts to specific items only when creating an invoice, not from the item list.

Q: Can I categorize items or group them by type?

Currently, there is no built-in category or folder feature for items. However, you can include category names in item titles or descriptions to keep them organized.

Q: Can I track inventory or stock levels in Bookipi?

A: Bookipi allows you to enter stock quantities, but it currently does not support full inventory management, such as automatic stock deductions, stock alerts, stock sales or purchase orders.

Q: Can I export my items in a report?

A: Yes. You can export a CSV report of all your item lists by following these steps:

  1. From the Invoice screen, tap the graph icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. In the upper-right area, open the dropdown menu and select 'Item'.

  3. Tap the export icon in the upper-right corner to send or save the CSV file.

This will generate a downloadable CSV report containing all your item data.

Q: Will adding items sync across my devices?

A: If you’re logged into the same Bookipi account, your items, along with their details, will sync across mobile and web.
