How to sync your bank

Learn how to sync your bank to the cashflow feature in Bookipi Invoice mobile app.

How to sync your bank

In the following tutorial we will show you how to:


To sync your bank account

Step 1: Tap ‘More’.

Tap ‘More’ on the lower right of the screen.

Step 2: Select ‘Cash flow’.

Scroll down to the Others section, and select ‘Cash flow’.

Step 3: Tap ‘Link account’.

In the ‘Dashboard’ tab, tap the ‘Link account’ button.

Step 4: Select ‘+ Connect new bank’.

Tap ‘+ Connect new bank’.

Step 5: Select your bank.

Select your financial institution from the list provided.

Alternatively, you can enter your institution in the search bar below.

Then, select your financial institution from your search.

Step 6: Log in to your institution.

Input your financial institution credentials and select ‘Submit’.

Step 7: To delete an account, click on the gear icon.

To remove an account from your bank feed, click the gear icon below the account you want to delete.

Step 8: Select ‘Delete Account’.

Tap ‘Delete Account’.

Step 9: Click ‘Delete’ to confirm.

Tick the box to confirm the account deletion and understand that this action cannot be undone, then tap ‘Delete’.

Step 10: Tap ‘Close’.

Select ‘Close’ to complete the setup.

If your bank feed is not showing, please wait a few minutes and refresh the screen by dragging down on the screen.


To sync an additional bank account:

Step 1: Tap ‘More’.

Tap ‘More’ on the lower right of the screen.

Step 2: Select ‘Cash flow’.

Scroll down to the Others section, and select ‘Cash flow’.

Step 3: Select ‘Accounts’.

Go to the ‘Accounts’ tab.

Step 4: Tap ‘+ Add Savings Account’.

Tap ‘+ Add Savings Account’, then proceed from Step 4 of the How to sync your bank account instructions provided above.


To delete an account that is already synced

Step 1: Tap ‘More’.

Tap ‘More’ on the lower right of the screen.

Step 2: Select ‘Cash flow’.

Scroll down to the Others section, and select ‘Cash flow’.

Step 3: Select ‘Accounts’.

Go to the ‘Accounts’ tab.

Step 4: Tap the pencil icon.

Tap the pencil icon next to the account header.

Step 5: Tap the trash bin icon.

Tap the trash bin icon located on the far right of the account you want to remove.

Step 6: Select ‘Yes’ to confirm.

Select ‘Yes’ to confirm the deletion of the synced account and acknowledge that this action cannot be recovered.


Common FAQs about how to sync your bank

Q: Why can’t I find my bank in the list?

A: If your bank is not listed, unfortunately, this feature is not currently available for you.

Q: Can I use this feature to make transactions from my online banking account?

A: This feature only has read-only access to your bank feeds, so any transactions cannot be made through it.

Q: Why is the cash flow in the mobile app not syncing with the web app?

A: The cash flow feature in the mobile app differs from the one in the web app, which is why they are not syncing.
