A: The synchronization feature ensures that any invoices, customer details, and items created in Bookipi are automatically transferred to your QuickBooks account and vice versa. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.
Q: Who can connect their Bookipi account to a QuickBooks account?
A: This feature is exclusively available to our US users and is limited to their default company on the Bookipi Web platform. To prevent synchronization issues, each user is permitted to connect only one QuickBooks account to one Bookipi account.
Q: How can I connect my Bookipi account to my QuickBooks account?
A: QuickBooks card is available on four different pages in the Bookipi Web platform:
Dashboard page
Invoice history page
Create invoice flow
Settings - Integration tab
Once the connect button is clicked, you will be prompted to sign up or log in to your QuickBooks account and acknowledge that information will be shared between Bookipi and QuickBooks.
Q: What information will be synced between Bookipi and QuickBooks?
A: Once a user has connected their Bookipi and QuickBooks accounts, created invoices, customers, and items will automatically sync, including any updates or deletions, except for payment status. Due to differences in handling tax, shipping, and discounts between Bookipi and QuickBooks, there may be instances where invoices will not sync or subtotals/totals may differ.
Q: How often does synchronization occur?
A: The synchronization is designed to be near real-time, ensuring that changes made in either Bookipi or QuickBooks are promptly reflected in the other platform. This feature provides users with an up-to-date and accurate view of their financial data.
Q: Can I sync historical data with QuickBooks?
A: Currently, only invoices, customers, and item records created after the Bookipi and QuickBooks connection is completed will be synced. However, we plan to provide a function that allows users to sync previously created data in the future.
Q: Is there an additional cost for the QuickBooks integration feature?
A: No, integrating your Bookipi account with your QuickBooks account is free.
Q: How do I know which invoices, customers, or items are synced?
A: Synced invoices, customers, and items are flagged under their respective history pages for clarity.
Q: Can I disconnect my Bookipi account from QuickBooks?
A: Yes, under the 'Settings' - 'Integration' tab, users can click the 'Connect' button to initiate the disconnection process. Note that previously synced records will still be visible but will not be updated after disconnection is completed.
