Registered Nurse/Practical Nurse:

  • RN/RPN Diploma
  • CNO Registration with Good Standing
  • Experience in LTC, Acute care, community care
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate - Level C or HCP
  • Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening for Employment
  • 2 Professional References
  • Medical Requirements (See below!)

 Medical Requirements:

  • Senior applicants (PSW, RPN, RN) must show proof of medical requirements as part of their application.
  • Please use the BookJane Health Form OR show proof of the medical requirements as outlined below. If there are any incomplete items due to medical, pregnancy, religious or other reasons, please have your Health Care Provider provide a note to explain the reason(s).

1 –  Tuberculosis (TB)

  • A 2-step TB Skin Test is required. Please see below for exceptions:
  • If you already have a 2-step TB Skin Test, then you must upload this 2-step TB Skin Test and a new 1-step Skin Test.
  • If you have a documented history of a previous positive TB Skin Test (induration measuring equal to or greater than 10mm) or Active TB, a TB Skin Test is NOT REQUIRED. You must show your Chest X-Ray results.
  • If either TB Skin Test Step is POSITIVE (= to or > than 10mm induration) please show Chest X-Ray date taken and results 

2 – Tetanus / Diphtheria (Tdap) 

  • A T/D booster is required every 10 years.

3 – Measles / Mumps / Rubella (MMR) 

  • Documented proof of MMR vaccine OR laboratory blood test results proving immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella is required.

4 – Varicella (chickenpox) 

  • Documented proof of Varicella vaccine OR laboratory blood test results proving immunity to Varicella is required regardless of history of illness.

5 – Hepatitis B (HB) 

  • Documented proof of Hepatitis B vaccine OR laboratory blood test results proving immunity to Hepatitis B.

6 – Influenza (flu) 

  • Annual Flu shots are recommended every October or when the vaccine becomes available.
