✨ Please note: Ticket costs are available on the Lite plan or above.

Trial tickets are an excellent way of offering a discounted trial session for your customers, allowing them to try out your experience before committing to a full-price ticket.

This article covers:

Trial Ticket

You can provide a discounted trial ticket option alongside your regular ticket for your event. With this option, you can limit the trial tickets for each session.

To do this, select the event from your schedule, then Edit entry:

Select the Tickets & Costs tab from within your entry, then Create ticket:

Arrow pointing at the 'Create ticket' button, showing users where to click to create their ticket.

From here, you can create your trial ticket by naming it under Name, adding a description under Description and setting a ticket cost under Pricing (if applicable).

πŸ’‘ Remember to save your changes when you have finished editing.

How the ticket displays on the public page:

πŸ’‘ To note: This option does rely on your customers choosing this ticket option appropriately.

Trial Class

Alternatively, you could consider creating a new entry on your schedule for trial customers, separate from your regular classes with low-cost tickets.

For example:

πŸ’‘ Please note: Setting this option means you'll need to manually monitor the capacity limits to ensure you don't oversell your event.

Password protecting the entry

You may wish to password-protect this entry, so only new customers with the correct password can book tickets.

If you'd like to do this, we advise that you add the instructions for obtaining the password in the Description box within the Information tab of the entry settings:

Trial Discount Code

Finally, you could create a trial discount code to share with your customers who want to try a session.

To do this, select Packages & Discounts from the left-hand menu, Discounts, then Add a new discount set from the top right-hand corner:

From here, select Add discount code:

You can then create the discount code. Customers use this code when checking out to redeem their discount. For example, "TASTER20".

Choose what Type of discount (fixed amount or percentage off) and restrict the cost to a single use per email address to avoid customers from using the code multiple times:

πŸ’‘ We suggest using a Fixed amount discount for better control over your customer's basket, as a Percentage off applies to the entire basket, which could result in a loss in revenue for you.

Once complete, select Add codes to save the codes to your set. Then Name the set:

Select which events you would like this offer to apply to by selecting Add usage restriction, then the entries from the drop-down menu:

When you have finished setting up your set, select Save changes. You can then start sharing your discount code with your new customers.
