Boom reports your on-time rent payments to the credit bureaus. We do not control your credit score.

That being said, we rarely ever see a negative impact on a customer's credit score. In almost all cases, we see a positive impact which can vary based on how many payments we report, your current credit score, and how much credit you have outstanding.

Adding a rental tradeline to your credit report can help diversify your credit profile and can improve your credit score.

The average Boom customer sees a credit score increase of over 28 points, with some users seeing increases over 105 points. Additionally, many people do not have a credit score because they do not have any credit sources โ€” reporting your rent payments can help give you a credit score.
