Creating a Test Lead
Updated over a week ago

Overview

When getting set up with your account, we encourage you to create a test lead through your Agent sub-domain website-- so that you can access the site and get insight into the lead experience!

It's important to create the lead through your Agent sub-domain to ensure that the lead is assigned directly to you as the Agent. If the lead is created through the company's overall website, it may be assigned to another Agent on your team, depending upon the rotation in place.

How to Create a Test Lead

Click on your image icon in the top right-hand corner of your account, and select Open My Website.

Once on your agent website, navigate to the top right-hand corner of the page, and select Sign In.

A pop-up window will display, and at the top, select the 'Not a member? Register for free' link to register your test lead.

The pop-up will change and provide a field for you to enter the email address you'd like to use to register your test lead. Then select Continue With Email.

It is critical that you use a different email address from the one you login to BoomTown with. Using your BoomTown Agent login/email address for your test lead account can cause issues with email deliverability.

To complete the registration, you'll need to enter your name and phone number on the next page, and then select I'm Finished.

This will automatically log you into your test lead account, and you can confirm this by viewing the name after Hi, in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

When accessing listing information from the CRM (through lead profiles, e-Alerts, etc.), make sure that you are logged into your test lead account in your browser, as this will ensure that you're only seeing your own Agent information on the site. Otherwise, if you jump from the CRM to listings on your team's website as an unregistered visitor, you may see another Agent on the listing based on your team's overall rotation.
