[Admins] Transferring Leads with Rematching
Updated over a week ago

As an Admin user, if you'd like to transfer an individual lead from one Agent account on your team, to your team's Lead Matching rules, or a specific rule, this can be done through Rematching, in a similar manner as transferring a lead to another specific Agent.
โ€‹
First, within the lead's profile, navigate to the blue box, and select the Transfer button next to the specific Agent you'd like to transfer.

In the case where an Agent is assigned to both the Buyer and Listing Agent sides of a Buyer/Seller lead, you'll have the ability to transfer either, or both sides of that lead through Rematching.

Clicking the Remove link next to an Agent's name will remove that Agent from that side of the lead, making the lead either a Buyer OR Seller lead only.

Once you've selected the option to Transfer a given lead, a pop-up window will display.
โ€‹
To transfer the lead via Rematching, select the Transfer to Lead Matching option from the Transfer to: drop-down menu.

You'll then be given a choice to have the lead transferred to the Next matching rule (meaning that it will go through the rules and be assigned where applicable), or to a specific rule within your team's Lead Matching preferences.

If a specific rule has SharkTank enabled for it, this will be displayed in the list when selecting the rule! If a rule with SharkTank is selected, all Agents in the rule will receive a broadcast message to be able to claim the lead being transferred.

If a rule with SharkTank is selected during a bulk transfer, all Agents in the rule will not receive a broadcast message and those leads will be assigned to Agents in that rule via the lead rotation.

Once you've selected the rule you'd like: you can include an optional note to be sent to the Agent that ultimately receives the lead; select a checkbox for whether to have the lead maintain their current category, instead of having them automatically categorized as New in the receiving Agent's account; and select a checkbox for whether you'd like to assign a Lender to the lead automatically if that setting is in place on the receiving Agent's account.

Once you've chosen all your preferences, select the Transfer button to complete the transfer!

Once a lead has been transferred away from an Agent's account, it will no longer be possible for that Agent to view or edit the lead profile or contact the lead through the system.

For answers to some frequently asked Rematching questions, please check out the FAQ below!

Rematching FAQ

Can Rematching send a lead back to the same rule twice?

No. When a lead is matched by a rule, it will then skip this rule the next time the lead is sent to Lead Matching via a transfer.

Are there any new options for creating rules in Lead Matching?

Yes! You can now create a blank rule through your Lead Matching page-- meaning that no location, price, type or source filter is required. You can create this type of rule if you simply want to have a pool or group of Agents to transfer leads to through Rematching.

BE CAREFUL when creating a blank rule! If this rule is at the top of your Lead Matching page, then all incoming leads will be sent to Agents in this rule.

Are transfer rules and Lead Matching in a different place?

No, all rules are in the Lead Matching interface. So if you'd like to make changes to any of the settings for transfers or for Lead Matching, simply navigate to the Lead Matching page in your left-hand menu bar to make the updates there!

What about SharkTank -- will this impact my transfers?

Yes! Any rules that have SharkTank enabled will also be in effect when transferring leads through Rematching. By enabling SharkTank on any Lead Matching rule, you can qualify the lead first, THEN transfer it to the pool of sharks!

Are there any best practices for set-up with Rematching?

Consider where leads need to go first. Create a blank rule at the top with only your ISA (if you use this model). This will be a catch for all leads, and then the ISA can transfer back to Lead Matching (which skips their rule the 2nd time), or a specific rule.
