How to Send a Bulk Email

Utilize the Filters in the left panel to get a group of leads together.

Select leads in bulk by clicking on the Select button towards the top of your lead list or check the box next to specific leads to select them individually.

Click on the Bulk Actions button at the top of your Lead Central, and then select Send Email from the drop-down list.

Use the Send Test Email link at the bottom of the email composition window to see how your email will appear to leads.


Admins Only: In the email composition window you will see an On behalf of option if there are leads selected that are assigned to other Agents.

The assigned Agent will be sent a copy of the email without Template Text populated (ex. {VisitorFirstName}).


Click the Send button.

Under MARKETING in your left menu, select Lead Central Email Report.

In this report, you'll find the following data for any bulk emails you or your Agents have sent:

  • Emails Sent

  • Open Rate

  • Click Through Rate (if link was included)

  • Reply Rate

Sending a Bulk Text

If you have a targeted group of leads that you'd like to text at one time, this can be done through Lead Central!

When accessing Lead Central, first utilize the filters in the left panel to compile a targeted group of leads (such as all those that have registered today, etc.).

To protect your BoomTown number's deliverability rates, the system will only allow a combined 200 messages to be sent through the bulk text feature by a specific user on a given day. This is a cumulative number, so that each time a group of leads is texted on a given day, those messages will count toward the 200 message quota for that user for the day. Once the 200 message limit is reached, further messages through the bulk text feature can be sent starting at midnight local time the following day.

Once you've narrowed down your list of leads, select leads in bulk by clicking on the Select button towards the top of your lead list or check the box next to specific leads to select them individually.

Click on the Bulk Actions button at the top of your Lead Central, and then select Send Text from the drop-down list.

Don't see the Send Text option? Please reach out to your Broker/Admin to see about having the feature enabled for your account!

Within the window, you'll be able to select a Text Templates from within the drop-down menu, or you can create a unique message for the specific group of leads, utilizing Template Text from the drop-down menu displayed above the Text Body field.

At the top of the text message composition window, statistics will display with how many of the selected leads have valid phone numbers, and how many leads have phone numbers that have been marked as Invalid or Opted-Out within the system. Messages will only be sent to leads with valid phone numbers.

Once you've entered a body for the text message, you can preview what it will look like for your leads by selecting the Preview Text button.

When you're satisfied with the content of the text message, simply select the Send Text button to send the message to the selected leads with valid phone numbers!

The text messages sent through the bulk tool are sent individually over a rapid time-frame, through an internal queue system. Any subsequent text messages sent through the bulk tool or individually will be queued until all messages are sent from a previously requested bulk text message. Keep in mind that this could lead to delays in messages sent shortly after the bulk text, particularly when bulk texting large groups of leads.

As text messages are a different medium from email, when sending messages out to large groups of leads, prepare yourself for responses from the leads -- and ensure that you're segmenting the leads in a manner that makes it possible to respond accordingly to leads when they reply!

Once a targeted bulk text is sent, you will automatically receive an email notification to your login email address with the statistics of how many messages were sent, how many were successful, and how many (if any) failed to send.
