Managing Sources

From time to time, you might find that your client and prospect source list gets a wee bit out of control. You might have multiple sources with slightly different spellings. Luckily, there is a way to clean this up.

  1. Head over to your Settings page.

  2. Find and click the "Sources" tab.

From here, you can do a few things, and we will outline them below:

Updating/Editing

Let's say you made a source that you apply to a particular group of prospects and that source name has worked fine.. let's say you called it "Kiosk". Now this year you have two more kiosks you are working and you need to differentiate the prospects from each. You can go to your settings page and rename the original source "Kiosk" to anything you want. This should help keep you organized

Consolidating

Another common scenario is you might have made multiple sources that are closely related. In January you made a source called "UHC leads", then 6 months later you get another UHC lead and you forgot you already made that source and by accident make another source and name it "United Leads". You end up doing this a few times and now you have three sources but all with a little bit different naming schema. The consolidation process can fix this.

To consolidate, go to the source you want to move people out of and click the drop down where it says "Consolidate", then pick the source you want to move all of those people into. You can then delete the old source if you want.

Deleting

If a source has (0) next to its name, that means no profile currently has that source assigned to it. If that's the case, you can delete this source by clicking the ellipsis (...) at the top right corner of that source, then selecting "Delete".

Global Sources

Global sources, which are outlined in red, are system sources that everyone can use. These cannot be renamed or deleted. The only thing you can do is consolidate people in and out of these sources.
