The Pattern Folding section is tough but one thing you can do to make it easier is recognizing how the question folds. Let's take a look at an example.

At first, this question looks very tough but if you recognize how the question folds, it becomes much easier to eliminate option choices.

1. We start by picking a key component of the Pattern Folding Question (usually the largest surface). Here we labelled this component "X":

2. Now we can go around the surface marked "X" and why seeing how everything around it folds:

3. For the sides marked "?", we have to look at the opposite side of the object. By doing so, we must think about how this object folds and which surfaces connect to which surfaces. If we do this, this is what we get:

Now that you can see how different components fold, it will be easier to eliminate option choices. 😊
