AI Transcriptions and Summaries User Guide

AI Transcriptions and Summaries auto-transcribe and summarize on-demand audio calls, then view, download as PDF or DOCX, share, or opt out.

Written by Quinn Bott

AI Transcriptions and Summaries capture a detailed transcript of on-demand audio calls and a summary of participants, purpose, key topics, decisions, and action items.

What it does

  • Detailed call transcripts: captures every word of your calls accurately.

  • Call summaries: participants, purpose, key topics, decisions, and action items.

  • Multilingual support: available in the call languages or translated versions. 10 supported languages: English, Spanish, Russian, French, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Chinese (Mandarin), Ukrainian, Chinese (Cantonese), Korean.

  • Automated: transcriptions and summaries run for on-demand audio calls.

  • Download options: save transcripts and summaries as PDF or DOCX.

  • Searchable, time-stamped text: find specific sections quickly, with time-stamped dialogue for reference.

How to use it

When the feature is enabled for you, transcription runs automatically for all eligible calls from your account. At the start of the call, a recording announcement notifies participants that the call is being recorded and transcribed.

In the browser: after the call, open the Call Log Details and select the call record. Two tabs appear:

  • Transcriptions — the full transcription with language options and timestamps.

  • Call Summary — participants, purpose, decisions, and action items.

In the mobile app: open the Call Log, tap a call, and use the Transcriptions and Summary tabs on the Call Details screen.

Download and share

Download transcripts and summaries as PDF or DOCX, or copy a summary to share. Transcription duration also appears as a column when exporting call logs.

Opt out and delete

  • Requestors can opt out of transcribing an active call by selecting the indicated icon.

  • LSC and Requestor Admins can delete a transcript from the call details pop-up.

Note: Root LSC Admins and the requestor who placed the call can always access transcriptions and summaries; for custom requestor admin roles, access is set by role permissions. Not supported: scheduled calls, video calls, or calls through third-party apps like Zoom, Webex, or Teams.
