To connect an interpreter into a Zoom virtual meeting, an LSC Administrator first associates a requestor with a language pair and a service type. Boostlingo then generates a unique email address that requestors invite into their Zoom meeting to request an interpreter.
Important Note: You must be signed in as an LSC Administrator to make these changes.
Create the Zoom configuration policy
Go to Configuration>Company>Customize>Routing>Zoom Configurations and select "Create Zoom Configuration Policy."
Name the policy, add an optional description, and select "Create Configuration Policy."
Add a configuration
Click on an individual policy to open the policy flyout and click the gear wheel on the right side of the screen to add a routing configuration:
In the Zoom Configuration window, choose:
Languages 1 and 2 of the language pair
Service Type
Communication Type:
opi (phone)
vri (video)
The first and last name you'd like the interpreter to present with when they join the meeting.
Note: When naming the contact, it helps to include the service type, for example "Spanish Business" as the first name and "Interpreter" as the last name.
Select "Add."
Add accounts
Select the "Policy Members" tab and select "Add Accounts."
Choose accounts from the dropdown and select "Add Chosen." All requestors on those accounts can now add interpreters via Zoom for the configured language and service pairs.
Once you're set up, invite that email address into your Zoom meeting and Boostlingo will route an interpreter into the call automatically.
Note: Zoom email addresses are no-reply accounts used only for routing. They can't be emailed directly.
Next steps / Getting more help
If a user reports that an interpreter isn't joining their Zoom meeting, confirm that the account is a policy member and the language and service configuration is available for them generally. If all settings look correct, please reach out to Boostlingo Support with the account name and any additional information you can share about the expected experience vs the actual experience so our team can investigate and help with next steps.
