The Smart folder is a kind of folder with special features. Unlike regular folders, the smart folder will filter all documents in Boost Note according to the conditions you set, and assemble all documents that meet these conditions in the Smart Folder.

Create a Smart Folder
Click New Smart Folder
in the side navigation to create a new smart folder. After the smart folder is created, you can give a name to this smart folder, then start setting your filtering conditions:

Setting Up Conditions
You can set up more than one conditions for the smart folder, with various conditions combined, the smart folder can be used in various scenarios. Below are conditions available when setting up the smart folder, you could choose how to combine them:
①Labels
Filter documents by labels. You can filter out documents multiple labels. With this condition, you can create folders like 'Specs', 'Meeting Minutes'.
②Status
Filter documents by status. With this condition, you can create folders like 'In Progress', 'Paused', 'Completed' 'Archived'.
③Due date
Filter documents by the due date. e.g.: 'Documents created yesterday', 'Documents created from 2022-04-01 to 2022-12-31', 'Documents created in 2022'.
④Assignee
Filter documents by assignee. With this condition, you can create folders like 'My Docs', 'Dev Team Docs', 'Spec Docs'.
⑤Created date
Filter documents by the created date. e.g.: 'Documents created yesterday', 'Documents created from 2022-04-01 to 2022-12-31', 'Documents created in 2022'.
⑥Created by
Filter documents by doc creator. With this condition, you can create folders like 'My Docs', 'Dev Team Docs', 'Spec Docs'.
⑦Updated date
Filter documents by the updated date. e.g.: 'Documents updated yesterday', 'Documents updated from 2022-04-01 to 2022-12-31', 'Documents updated in 2022'.
⑧Updated by
Filter documents by doc contributor. With this condition, you can create folders like 'My Docs', 'Dev Team Docs', 'Spec Docs'.
