Allocate Shares to build your Register

Build your Register by issuing existing shares to shareholders

To start using BOULEVARD, you will need to build your share members register, and ensure it matches ASIC.

To build your share register by issuing shares, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Register link on the left sidebar.

  2. Click on the 'Allocate existing shares' button.

3. Under Shareholder, select the 'New Shareholder' option (Image 2).

4. Select the Investor Type (Sophisticated, Crowd-sourced, Retail, Employee)

5. Select the Owner type (Individual, joint or company)

6. Enter the Owner details in the fields provided (the owner is a direct shareholder or a trustee of a trust of SMSF):

  • For individual owners:

    • Owner Details

      • Name

      • Tax file number

      • Beneficial status

    • Address

    • Beneficiary details (for non-beneficial owners)

    • Contacts

  • For joint owners:

    • Owner details (for all owners)

      • Name

      • Tax file number

      • Beneficial status

    • Address

      • Same address for all owners

      • Owners have different address

    • Beneficiary details (for non-beneficial owners)

    • Contacts

  • For Australian registered companies:

    • Owner details

      • ACN/ARBN of company

      • Tax file number

      • Beneficial status

    • Address (must have an Australian address)

    • Beneficiary details (for non-beneficial owners)

    • Contacts

  • For foreign companies not registered with ASIC:

    • Owner details

      • Company name

      • Beneficial status

    • Address (must have a foreign address)

    • Beneficiary details (for non-beneficial owners)

    • Contacts
      and click 'Next'.

7. Select a method to calculate your shares (Image 4)

  • Total Paid Amount

  • Price Per Share

8. Select the Share Class the shares are being issued in.

8. If you have selected the 'Calculate using total paid amount' method (Image 5):

a. Enter the total paid amount and number of shares in the field provided.

b. The price per share will be calculated up to four decimal points.

If you have selected the 'Calculate using Price per share' method (Image 6):

a. Enter a share price up to 4 decimal points in the 'price per share' field (if the price per share has already been set, the 'price per share' field will be automatically populated)

b. Enter the number of shares.

9. Edit the date of Issue if the shares were issued at an earlier date.

10. Click 'Next'.

11. Review the transaction details and click the '' button (Image 6).

12. When you return to the Register page:

  • The totals in both Capital Structures (from ASIC and BOULEVARD) should have been updated and,

  • The investor name should appear in the register list.

If you have already issued shares to a shareholder or have imported your members register, you can issue more shares to existing shareholders.

Note: During the initial set up of your register when ASICLink™ is not active no updates will be sent to ASIC. Allocating shares via the above process will not trigger any ASIC fines.
