Issue shares to an existing investor

How to issue shares to an investor who is already on your register

To issue shares to an existing investor that you have imported or already issued shares via LIQUIDISE:

1. Click on the Register link on the left sidebar.

2. Click on the 'Issue Shares' button on the register (Image 1).

3. On the Issue Shares page select 'Existing Shareholder' (Image 2).

4. To search for a name of an existing investor start typing in the 'Name of Shareholder' box. A list matching the text entered will appear as you type. (Image 3).

5. Select the investor you want to issue shares and click 'Next' to enter the share details.

6. Select a method to calculate your price per share (Image 4)

  • Total Paid Amount

  • Price Per Share

7. Select the Share Class the shares are being issued in.

8. If you have selected the 'Calculate using total paid amount' method (Image 5):

a. Enter the total paid amount and number of shares in the field provided.

b. The price per share will be calculated up to four decimal points.

9. If you have selected the 'Calculate using Price per share' method (Image 6):

a. Enter a share price up to decimal points in the 'price per share' field (if the price per share has already been set, the 'price per share' field will be automatically populated)

b. Enter the number of shares.

9. Edit the date of Issue if the shares were issued at an earlier date. (Choosing a date 28 days or more will display a warning message in the past may result in an ASIC late fee).

10. Click 'Next'.

11. Review the transaction details and click the 'Issue Shares' button (Image 7).

Once you click 'Issue Shares', a 'Shares Issued' window (Image 8) will be displayed. You can choose to Go to the register or Issue More Shares.

The register will be updated and if ASICLink™ is active the details of the transaction will be reported to ASIC.
