For small logos, select the School-Conf_Small_Logo_96 template.
Click on "Use this Brand Template".
Copy and paste a logo on the blank canvass. Make sure to center it to the point where you see the crosshairs (or a + sign).
Click on the upper left edge of the square around the logo and drag it upward until it reaches the left side of the canvass.
Click on the lower right edge of the square around the logo and drag it downward until it reaches the right side of the canvass.
Click on "BG Remover". It removes the background so only the logo is captured.
Update the name of the logo. I type it as school name_state initials_small or large.
For this logo: hillmurray_mn_small.
Canva automatically saves everything you do.
Click on "Share".
Click on "Download".
Select the box next to "Transparent background".
Click on "Download". It downloads to my desktop. You can download it to whichever folder is easiest for you to remember.
Go back to the Canva home page and Click on "Projects".
Find the logo that you just created and either drag it to the appropriate folder or use the three dots to move it to the appropriate folder.
In this case, I dragged the logo to the "Logos - MN" folder.
Repeat the same steps as above to create the large logo, starting first by selecting the "School_Conf_Large_Logo_480" template.
When you go to use the "BG Remover", its possible that part of the logo could get erased or lose its quality. If that happens, I utilize other apps to solidify the logo. On my PC, I use Paint 3D and the Magic Select feature. Once solid, I copy and paste the logo back on to Canva, go through all of the steps above EXCEPT for the BG Remover. You don't want to use the BG Remover if you had to solidify the logo by using 3D Paint or another app. It will cause other quality issues with the logo. Apple computers do not have the 3D Paint app.
