To add Sport Season Start Date, First Competition and Season ending date for Sports at the State Association Bound Admin Level. To aid in the working of the mobile app as well as to automate the switching over of a sport to the active season.
In one window have Bound Admin page open for state you wish to setup the sports dates.
In another window have the website open with the state association with the information on dates for each sport
Click on the State Association for the sports you are setting up the dates for.
Click on the Trophy
Click on "Manage Activities"
Click on "View All Seasons"
Click on "Manage 2024-25 Seasons"
On the State Association website, find the start date, first competition date and end date for each sport in the list. Enter those in the corresponding columns for each active sport in that season.
Continue through each sport entering the three dates as listed on the state association page.
Click on "Save Seasons" once you have finished the list.
NOTES:
To aid in the working of the mobile app as well as to automate the switching over of a sport to the active season.
This will need to be updated yearly by the data team. If the state is not active in Bound (meaning there are no active clients for a state, you can keep the defaults as is.
While the dates do not need to be updated, the New Mobile App (12/2024) is going to feed home pages with the teams that are in season based on these dates.
The Status (active/inactive) is tied to the old app's functionality and will go away with the release of the new app and the new date feature.
Updating will be key in states where we manage state associations. As of 2024: Iowa IGHSAU and IHSAA; South Dakota SDHSAA; Virginia VISAA; Florida SSAA
